BOX: bottom is padauk, right side is osage orange, middle bottom is mahogany sided by bubinga and above that is padauk sided by mahogany, top is purpleheart.
flaws/issues:
A very slight edge shift has occurred on the outer rim between the tulipwood in vew 1 and the zircote in view 8 plus there is a slight stress separation along the left side of the BOX. These issues have caused me to reduce the price of the bowl considerably.
The redwood in view 5 has a slight crack that can be seen on the top of the piece, but this is as much wood character as flaw.
comments: pine in view 7 has a nice little crotch/curly area on the bottom and all of the mahogany in the box is highly chatoyant (you get a hint of that in the orientation view at the top of this page).
The zircote in view 8 is so dark that it looks entirely like ebony.
