C194 --- $SOLD

diameter: 6 1/2"
height: 2 1/2"
shipping weight: 1lb 9oz (when asking about shipping costs, please don't forget to give me your zip code)

finish: 10 thin coats of satin-finish spar polyurethane (with UV blocker)

COMMENTS: both pieces of mahogany in the lower right are nicely chatoyant as is the oxhorn at the top.

I really like the pattern in this one and the selection of woods, but I do think it would have been better if the middle part were centered instead of being offset to the left.

I ALWAYS POINT OUT ANYTHING THAT NEEDS TO BE COMMENTED ON. THESE ARE (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED) THINGS THAT DO NOT DETRACT FROM THE BEAUTY OF THE BOWL, BUT I WANT TO BE SURE I GIVE A COMPLETE DESCRIPTION. SO ... There is a slight lift of the edge (due to movement in service) of the wenge in in upper left as it comes into the rim at the far left. It is quite visible due to the overlap with the next piece (shown circled in blue in one of the pics below) and you can definitely feel it with your finger tip. Although this is a single fairly minor flaw I have priced the bowl quite low because of it.
