COMMENTS: The center of this one was suggested to me by my memory of Navaho rugs that I saw in the Southwest in my youth. It has a nice hefty feel because I didn't turn this one down as thin as I could have. There are very nice omega curves at the top and bottom inner rim and the laminations at the upper and lower outside rim are intended to be at least a slight continuation of the theme from the center.
The yellowheart at the upper left and upper right are highly chatoyant, as you can see in the video.
I ALWAYS POINT OUT ANYTHING THAT NEEDS TO BE COMMENTED ON. THESE ARE (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED) THINGS THAT DO NOT DETRACT FROM THE BEAUTY OF THE BOWL, BUT I WANT TO BE SURE I GIVE A COMPLETE DESCRIPTION. SO ... the joint where the section in the middle with the jagged wenge pieces meets the area above it is a poorly done joint and shows as a dark line. This is minor but it shouldn't be like that.
