comments: An unusually light bowl for me, because of a thinner than usual wall. Normally on the "P1" type bowls, I turn the outer section of the upper rim flat but on this one it has a very gentle curve starting at the upper edge of the rim and flowing inward, then dropping off more precipitously as you approach the middle. The effect is QUITE pleasing and I will undoubtedly do more of this shape although I'm not so sure I'll do the wall so thin. Thin walls are too subject to stress separations (this bowl has been around long enough for me to be confident that it isn't going to develop any separations)
This bowl is just a real pleasure to handle.
The bubinga in view 5 is nicely chatoyant and the purpleheart pieces in views 4 and 6 are both lightly chatoyant
