B197 --- $95.00 --- this is the orientation view --- more pics down below

diameter: 7 1/2"
height: 2 1/2"

finish: one application of natural stain then 3 coats of high gloss spar polyurethane (with UV blocker)

WOODS USED: [SEE DISCUSSION ON THE MAIN PAGE OF THIS SITE IF ANY OF THIS IS UNCLEAR]

base: yellowheart

view 1: Honduras rosewood, butternut, canary, BOX

view 2: gaboon ebony over redheart, silky oak, BOX

view 4: andiroba over hard maple over aromatic red cedar, all backed by mansonia, BOX

view 5: kuruguay, padauk, BOX

view 6: white oak, billy webb wood, limbali, BOX

view 8: cabreuva, paela, redheart, BOX

BOX: all of the dark wood is wenge, the brown wood is billy webb wood, and the lines are double thicknesses of thick birch veneer. The two lines going through the wenge appear much lighter that the ones separating the wenge from the billy webb wood, but that is just because of grain direction; the lighter pieces are side grain and the darker ones are butt-end grain.

flaws/issues: none

comments: The grain of the wenge in the BOX is quite nice and since it isn't fully apparent in the rest of the pics, I did a closeup (see below) to show it off better.

The billy webb wood in view 6 is nicely chatoyant and the butternut in view 1 is lightly chatoyant
