flaws/issues: A very minor point is that if you run your finger around the under-rim where it comes to a point, you will note that the mahogany in view 5 is slightly more turned down that the surrounding woods. That's due to pressure on the final sanding cutting into the relatively soft mahogany more that the harder woods. Had I not pointed it out you might well not have even noticed it, it is that minor.

comments: Doing a "C5" type bowl (the fluted, undercut rim) was a real challenge on such a small bowl as there was JUST enough leeway next to the lathe faceplate to get the gouge into the undercut area and it took a fair amount of extra time due to the tight space. I'm happy I did it, though, as I think the result justified the effort.

The fir in view 4 has some marvelous jagged swirly grain lines due to some small branchs coming into that section of the wood (they show up as dark areas).

The canary in view 1 is marvelously chatoyant and both pieces of chechem in view 2 are lightly chatoyant.
