B183 --- $75.00 --- this is the orientation view --- more pics down below
diameter: 7"
height: 2 1/2"
finish: one application of natural stain then 3 coats of high gloss spar polyurethane (with UV blocker)
WOODS USED: [SEE DISCUSSION ON THE MAIN PAGE OF THIS SITE IF ANY OF THIS IS UNCLEAR]
base: Honduras mahogany
view 1: leopardwood, ebony veneer, canary, BOX
view 2: curly maple, wenge, BOX
view 4: redheart over zebra backed by cocobolo over yellowheart and all backed by poplar, mahogany, BOX
view 5: African blackwood, Honduras rosewood, BOX
view 6: padauk, ambrosia maple (but without the distinctive bug tracks), BOX
view 8: yellowheart, machiche, BOX
BOX: from the bottom up; mahogany, yellowheart, zircote, redheart, wenge, maple veneer, ? (probably chechem)
flaws/issues: Where the wenge in view 2 goes up the inner rim along side of the ebony veneer in view 1, it has some small chipouts due to cross-grain turning. Because these are right up against ebony veneer, they are pretty much invisible.
comments: The yellowheart in view 8 is highly chatoyant as is the mahogany in view 4. The leopardwood in view 1 looks particularly nice and is well set off by the backing of ebony veneer.
