B167 --- $SOLD

diameter: 10"
height: 3"
shipping weight: 3lb 7oz (when asking about shipping costs, please don't forget to give me your zip code)

finish: one application of natural stain then 3 coats of high gloss spar polyurethane (with UV blocker)

comments: I really like the way the ebony veneer in the box sets off the other woods. The oval of canary at the top on the outside of the rim has nice red streaks and the imbuia sapwood on the right side rim has a very attractive grain pattern. Several of the woods in this one are nicely chatoyant including the imbuia on the right side rim, the shedua at the bottom, the canary on the outside of the top rim, the chechem in the lower right and both the osage orange and the bubinga in the lower left and several others.

At 2 pounds, 11 ounces this is one of my heaviest bowls. Quite a heft to it.

flaws/issues: the osage orange at the top a small void on the left side where it joins the silky oak. The canary at the top has a very slight stress separation along one edge which is not visible but can be felt if your run your hand around the rim.

Some of the woods have darkened since the pics were taken. In particular the osage orange in the lower left (view 8). The video is recent and shows all of the woods correctly and as you can see, the visual impact has not been significantly dimished.
