B163 --- $90.00

diameter: 8 1/2"
height: 2 1/2"
shipping weight: 2lb 10oz (when asking about shipping costs, please don't forget to give me your zip code)

finish: one application of natural stain then 3 coats of high gloss spar polyurethane (with UV blocker)

comments: the purpleheart at the bottom of the middle area is nicely chatoyant, and covered in ray flakes. The bocote at the right side is a poor sample of that species. The redheart and paela throughout this bowl are nice, and the billy Webb wood in on the right is an excellent piece. The sapodilla at the top exhibited the "rare steak" coloration but it has now darkened to sold red-brown. The canary at the upper left is an unusually bright yellow. The base is a particularly light-colored piece of panga panga.

flaws/issues: The redheart at the lower right has faded to a golden brown.
