diameter: 7 1/4"
height: 2 1/2"
shipping weight: 2lb 4oz (when asking about shipping costs, please don't forget to give me your zip code)
finish: one coat of natural stain then 5 thin coats of dewaxed shellac topped by 2 coats of clear flat enamel to take the shine off.
COMMENTS: All of the woods are good in this one and I particularly like the triangle of marblewood at the top of the middle section.
I ALWAYS POINT OUT ANYTHING THAT NEEDS TO BE COMMENTED ON. THESE ARE (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED) THINGS THAT DO NOT DETRACT FROM THE BEAUTY OF THE BOWL, BUT I WANT TO BE SURE I GIVE A COMPLETE DESCRIPTION. SO ... the yew pieces in the very middle have a crack and in the one one the left it's quite noticeable. The yellow pine veneer under the middle section completely hides the woods of that area when the bowl is viewed from the bottom. The yew pieces in the bottom rim have lots of little branch inclusions which is normal for yew.
