view 7: aromatic red cedar, paela, maple, paela, BOX

view 8: snakewood, kuruguay, osage orange, BOX

BOX: middle is bocote sided by maple sided by snakewood. Above that is padauk veneer then canarywood slants ending in ?(light wood --- could be maple but I don't think so), then above that is redheart slants ending in prima vera.

flaws/issues: The English brown oak in view 3 happened to have a ray right at the edge where it joins the sycamore at the top of the rim, and the ray developed a tiny crack that you can feel with your finger (it isn't very noticeable visually). There are some very thin separations at the bocote in the BOX. You can hardly see them but you can feel them with your fingernail.

The walnut in view 4 has a very small wormhole on the bottom.

comments: The bocote in the middle is a real standout.
