view 7: oak, mahogany veneer, osage orange, canary
view 8: VERY high ring-count fir (this little section of the tree took about 40 years to grow), same lamination as in view 4
BOX: walnut on the bottom and both upper corners. left to right: pine, narra over wenge, two pieces of padauk over two pieces of prima vera, aromatic red cedar over pine over tulip with sapwood , mahogany
flaws/issues: the pine in the left of the box has some kind of streaking in the lower left that is not particularly attractive. The redheart base is not in the least unattractive but it is not the best redheart.
comments: Some really gorgeous wood in this one. The cocobolo in view 1 is outstanding as is all of the canary. The incredibly high ring-count fir is from the only piece I've ever had that was anywhere NEAR this dense.
