G023 --- $90.00 --- this is the orientation view --- more pics down below

diameter: 7"
height: 5 1/2"

finish: finish: 10 thin coats of satin-finish spar polyurethane (with UV blocker)

WOODS USED: [SEE DISCUSSION ON THE MAIN PAGE OF THIS SITE IF ANY OF THIS IS UNCLEAR]

base: bottom is Honduras mahogany and above that is: views 1 and 5: sapele backed by two pieces of tulip poplar separated by a thin of aromatic red cedar view 3: curly maple backed by cowtree view 7: curly maple backed by sipo backed by ebony veneer

center: 4 sections of Honduras mahogany in the middle and tiny wedges of okoume at the corners

view 1: jagged lamination topped by prima vera and backed by padauk veneer then prima vera then aromatic red cedar. The jagged lamination is, from the bottom up; pine, obeche, oxhorn, two layers of ash veneer, oxhorn, zircote, and tiny wedges of iroko

view 3: two pieces of cocobolo sandwiching a lamination of aromatic red cedar over maple veneer over thick mahogany veneer over a different kind of thick mahogany veneer. This is topped by a wedge of osage orange and all backed by purpleheart veneer then ? (greenish wood). At the sides are wedges of makore and the whole thinh is backed by thick walnut veneer

view 5: lacy sheoak over redheart over maple veneer over redheart over maple veneer over redheart over Bolivian rosewood and all of that backed by walnut

view 7: checkerboard pattern is canary and sapodilla and that's topped by padak and it's over yellowheart and all backed by aromatic red cedar then purpleheart veneer then a thin of aromatic red cedar. At both sides are wedges of makore

comments: The sapodilla in the checkerboard pattern in view 7 has a slight remnant of the "rare steak" look, but if you check out the bowl-blank pic of view 7 below, you will see it much better.

flaws/issues: the walnut veneer backing the makore at the left side of view 3 (just to the right of the jagged section in view 1) has developed a very slight stress separation, which you cannot see but which you can feel with your finger. It's very minor.

Some of the woods have faded or darkened quite noticeably so I have dropped the price from $150 to $90
