base: top sections are Honduras mahogany and the lower sections are:
view 1: wenge, makore
view 3: canary, tulip poplar over aromatic red cedar over tulip poplar, then tiny wedges of mahogany
view 5: sipo (which extends up into the top section), makore
view 7: curly maple, tulip poplar over aromatic red cedar over tulip poplar, then tiny wedges of mahogany

center: 4 sections of Honduras mahogany sapwood and 8 small edge sections of okoume

view 1: jagged lamination of aromatic red cedar over Honduras rosewood over holly veneer over Honduras rosewood, all backed by makore and then on the left, a small lamination of mahogany over oak over bubinga and on the right a complex lamination starting with thick walnut veneer over 2 layers of cerejeira veneer redheart over walnut and all of that backed by an oval of walnut then white oak then red oak madrone veneer, tulip poplar

view 3: bocote, white oak, yellowheart (a very pale colored piece), and all of that topped by a thin rim of white pine.

view 5: from the top: mahogany, obeche, bubinga, padauk, canary, obeche. On the left is (top portion from the middle outwards) mahogany veneer, maple veneer, mahogany veneer, maple veneer, aromatic red cedar, wenge, sapele and below that, from the middle outwards, is redheart, osage orange, a tiny sliver of redheart. On the right, from the middle outward, is aromatic red cedar, maple veneer, buginga veneer, maple veneer, aromatic red cedar, sipo, sapele. Behind all of that is bubinga veneer, prima vera with blue stain. To the left and right are wedges of padauk and then under everything is aromatic red cedar and behind everything is aromatic red cedar.

view 7: mahogany, thick walnut veneer, maple veneer, ebony veneer, maple veneer, thick walnut veneer. Behind all that is maple veneer, aromatic red cedar, maple veneer, aromatic red cedar, maple veneer, aromatic red cedar. On top is machiche(?).

flaws/issues: I knowingly used prima vera with blue stain in view 5. I like the way this wood looks and I've use it in several bowls but some people consider the blue stain a flaw. It IS a flaw in a way, but it is also wood character, so it's a personal choice as to whether you see it as a flaw or character (or both).

comments: This one's fairly "busy" but I think all the laminations work well. The omega curve inside view 7 is nifty, particularly with the centered oval inside it.
