view 1: mahogany(?) over a roughly bookmatched piece of pine chosen for curvy grain, over red elm, over mahogany and all of that backed by a red oak thin then mahogany

view 2: corner wedge of macassar ebony

view 3: padauk over red aromatic cedar over machiche? over sen and all backed by osage orange, ? (brown wood) thin, dark veneer, pine, ? (honey brown wood)

view 4: corner wedge of English brown oak

view 5: ? (dark brown) over a lamination (described later) over cocobolo over an ash thin over walnut and all backed by red oak thin, ? (honey-bown wood)

the lamination in view 5 is a center piece of mahogany veneer and all the rest is curly mahogany thins all the same thickness (two sets are double thickness) but chosen for contrasting colors. There is a closeup of this section at the bottom of the page.

view 6: corner wedge of sapele

view 7: ? (dark brown, same as view 5 --- COULD be Honduras rosewood), unknown yellowish tan wood (yellowheart?), then a lamination of 3 mahogany thins and 2 pieces of walnut veneer, then a lamination of 5 veneers with walnut in the center sided by hard maple, sided by mahogany, then a somewhat thicker stipe of ? (walnut?), thick hard maple veneer, walnut thin, osage orange, mahogany thin, walnut veneer, mahogany thin. THEN, all of the preceeding is backed by walnut, mahogany, hard maple, mahogany, red oak, then just more walnut and red oak veneers.
