view 2: Honduras rosewood (with sapwood) over bocote over thick birch plywood over bocote, all backed by paela then yellowheart, ebony veneer, yellowheart, wenge, BOX

flaws/issues: One of the horizontal glue lines near the top of the BOX has raised slightly; you can only see it if you catch the light just right but you can feel it easily. This is a flaw but not a big one.

comments: really colorful laminations around the rim on this one, with veneer layers that make for a striking appearance, particularly in views 2 and 8. The combination of lacewood and silky oak in view 5 was a felicitous combination. This is definitely one of my better efforts.
