WOODS USED: [SEE DISCUSSION ON THE MAIN PAGE OF THIS SITE IF ANY OF THIS IS UNCLEAR]
base: walnut
view 1: box elder then canary, both sided by padauk, BOX
views 3 and 7: zebrawood, afrormosia, BOX
view 5: box elder then curly maple, both sided by padauk, then santos mahogany, BOX
BOX: left to right bloodwood, bocote, osage orange
flaws/issues: there is a light crack in the upper surface of the zebrawood in view 7
comments: a unique physical layout (at this time anyway) due to the descending lip on the outer rim with a square undercut. Also, the number of different woods in this one (11) is very low compared to most of my bowls.
The box elder pieces in views 1 and 5 are particularly nice and all of the woods in the BOX are excellent.
