C182 --- $SOLD --- this is the orientation view --- more pics down below

diameter: 6 1/2"
height: 2 1/2"

finish: 10 thin coats of satin-finish spar polyurethane (with UV blocker)

WOODS USED: [SEE DISCUSSION ON THE MAIN PAGE OF THIS SITE IF ANY OF THIS IS UNCLEAR]

base: curly maple

views 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8: yellowheart, wenge, BOX

BOX: inner segments are yellowheart, and outside that is redheart.

flaws/issues: the wenge inside the rim in view 4 developed an obvous chip-out. Experience told me that attempting to turn down below the chip-out was not likely to improve the situation because that piece would most likely have continued to chip out along the same edge, so I softened the edges but couldn't do much about how bad it looks. You can see it in a closeup pic down below. Too bad, to, because otherwise this bowl is really beautiful. I've reduced the price quite a bit because of the chip-out.

comments: fabulous wenge grain patterns and what I feel is an excellent choice of contrasting woods.
