BOX: from the bottom: purpleheart, 2 thicknesses of ebony veneer in a big "X", canary, redheart (fairly smooth) then more redheart (somewhat mottled). the lower slants are cowtree with more ebony veneer (again 2 thicknesses) above them and the middle slants above that are dark cocobolo and then up from there are a dark brown wood which is panga panga and a light pinkish wood which is makore.
flaws/issues: none
comments: lots of excellent wood in this one, and a deeply undercut rim that gives it a graceful look plus it has a nice heft. Also, I particularly like the BOX.
