flaws/issues: The bloodwood in view 2 has an area where the glue joint was not perfect and this resulted in a tiny gap at the top left of the edge on the outer rim that is barely perceptably visually and just barely noticeable to the fingernail. It is only apparent up close and does not detract from the beauty of the bowl at all.
On the bottom, the cocobolo of view 1 has an edge level shift that is not visible but is apparent to the touch.
MAJOR FLAW: The inner piece of mahogany in view 4 has developed as stress separation where it joins the ebony veneer. It is fully the thickness of a piece of paper and it goes all the way through to the bottom so that for some of the length of the joint you can see completely through the bowl if you get it lined up just right. Because of this flaw, I've reduced the price from $95 to $25.
comments: Some very nice woods in this one and excellent use of ebony veneer for outlines. The cocobolo in view 1 has a nice omega curve on the inside of the rim, as does the walnut in veiw 7.
