COMMENTS: The redheart in the middle is nicely offset by the lines of Gaboon ebony. I managed to align the panga panga pieces at the top left and top right such that they each show perfect oval grain lines (image down below). In normal lighting (these pics were taken in bright light) the color in the purpleheart at the left and right does not show up quite as strongly.

I ALWAYS POINT OUT ANYTHING THAT NEEDS TO BE COMMENTED ON. THESE ARE (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED) THINGS THAT DO NOT DETRACT FROM THE BEAUTY OF THE BOWL, BUT I WANT TO BE SURE I GIVE A COMPLETE DESCRIPTION. SO ... the black locust at the lower left has a crack that was not apparent before the turning started ... that's the kind of thing that just happens with wood sometimes, since it's an organic material. The base has one significant rough rough spot in the mahogany on the right side, as shown in the image below.
