B212 --- $SOLD --- this is the orientation view --- more pics down below

diameter: 6 1/2"
height: 2 1/2"

finish: 7 coats of satin-finish spar polyurethane (with UV blocker)

WOODS USED: [SEE DISCUSSION ON THE MAIN PAGE OF THIS SITE IF ANY OF THIS IS UNCLEAR]

base: padauk

view 1: walnut, 2 layers of purpleheart veneer, walnut, bloodwood, basswood, BOX

views 2, 5, 8: cabreuva, yellowheart, wenge, BOX

views 4, 6: curly maple, bloodwood, basswood, BOX

BOX: the yellow wood is yellowheart and the purple wood is purpleheart

flaws/issues: In the middle of the BOX, the purpleheart in view 8 has some surface cracking that is a flaw in the wood. Also, the purple heart in view 6 had a chip-out at the little tip that comes into the very middle of the bowl, so there is a small, clearly visible, indentation in the middle of the bowl. Although, as you can see from the images, it is quite small, when you catch the light just right it is very noticeable.

comments: In the middle of the BOX, the purpleheart in view 5 has a black line where it joins the purpleheart in view 6. That is because the surface of this piece of purpleheart had a strange, very thin, black layer that I did not sand off before using it in the bowl.

views 1b, 3b, and 5b --- the dog hair in the middle of view 1b has already fallen off, so you will not be getting it after all.
