B170 --- $70.00

diameter: 7"
height: 2 1/2"
shipping weight: 1lb 12oz (when asking about shipping costs, please don't forget to give me your zip code)

finish: 8 thin coats of satin-finish spar polyurethane (with UV blocker)

comments: The curly mahogany in the lower left has only a very slight curl. The spalted red oak in the upper right has an interesting color change but not the black lines that one normally associates with spalting, and the spalted kekele in view looks more "muddy" than spalted.

flaws/issues: the zircote in the middle has a slight separation from the redheart below it --- you can tell from the orientation pic at the top of this page that there is an irregularity at that joint. The separation was rather bad and caused a difference in levels of the wood at the point of separation, so I returned this bowl and subsequently refinished it, greatly reducing the effect of what is now a minor separation. Previously it had the high-gloss finish, now it has the satin finish. The pictures have been updated to show the new look. I buffed this one less than some and so it has a medium-gloss appearance rather than than the low-gloss appearance that most of the satin-finish bowls have.

The padauk in the upper left has a chip-out just inside the top of the rim.
