Alexandria at 2 years old, Aug 1989
blowing out the candles almost set your nose on fire
opening presents
the doll-house was a hit but the the chalk-board was your clear favorite
Alexandria Aug 1989 --- this is your first time along on Mom's yearly one-week trip to Bethany Beach, Delaware.
You were terrified of the waves but you loved digging in the sand
Alexandria on Dad's workbench in Bowie --- playing with my clamping blocks was such a hit with Robert
(when he was younger) that I thought you might like it too. You loved it! But, like him, you hate the noise my tools make.
Alexandria, Aug 1989 --- Mom does the baking, you help with the cleanup
Alexandria, Sept 1989 --- holding the 1st prize ribbon Mom got for the dress you're wearing.
Your coat got 2nd prize. This was at the PG County Fair. Your mom is very talented.

Alexandria, Sept 1989 --- You were very proud of being a big enough girl to go walking in the rain and having your own raincoat and red rubbers.
You splashed in every puddle you encountered. [and as I recall, you splashed a fair amount of it onto ME, but you were enjoying yourself so much I didn't complain]
Alexandria and Robert, Oct 1989 --- The family pumpkins, which in order, are: Alexandria, Robert, Mom, Dad.
Robert said the Robert and Dad pumpkins should be the other way around. [Apparently he was ALREADY planning to be taller than me!]
At Grandpa's for Thanksgiving, Nov 1989. Aunt Susie and Larry were there too.
We had a good trip, just the three of us. Mom stayed home to get a well-deserved vacation from you and Robert [and me].

(2) Our Xmas tree, the night before Xmas, 1989 --- I included this pic not so much
for the tree but as a reminder of the way you grew up around books. This was just
ONE of the walls in the living room that was floor to ceiling bookshelves.
