flaws/issues: mahogany in view 6 has a small wormhole.

There were major separation flaws but I cleaned them up, reglued them, and re-turned the bowl. The result isn't perfect since the glue forms a slight ridge-line, so I've only brought the price from the previously discounted $25 back up to $85 instead of the original $110.

Note from before the bowl was reworked: MAJOR FLAWS: There are two stress separations in this one. First, at the padauk in view 1 and then at the mahogany in view 5. This is an early bowl, made some years ago before I realized the extent to which this kind of problem can occur. It is quite rare in my current bowls, but I saw several occurances in older ones. Visually, they don't detract from the bowl, but because of them, I've reduced the price from $110 to $25.

comments: except for what turned out to be a pretty crummy piece of redheart in view #2, the wood is excellent throughout this one. View #5 has some terrific cocobolo backed by a really gorgeous, although small, piece of tulipwood.
