view 6: aromatic red cedar, eucalyptus, jatoba
view 7: sapele (with light mottle), mahogany (looks more like sipo and may be)
view 8: walnut, billy webb (golden)
BOX: bottom is yellowheart, top is mahogany, middle bottom is mahogany(?) sided by sipo. Middle top is redheart sided by honduras rosewood (with sapwood) sided by redheart sided by paela. On the right is a little lamination of maple veneer around two layers of padauk veneer, then on the very right side of the box, a piece of redheart.
flaws/issues: The aromatic red cedar in view 6 has a small knothole. I don't consider this a flaw but just want to make sure you notice it.
The finish in the middle has a couple of very light streaks but you don't see them unless you catch the light just right.
The billy webb wood in view 3 has a very slight separation that makes it stick out slightly from the machiche next to it. I'm not sure whether this is a stress separation or a poor glue joint, but either way, it's a flaw.
comments: I can't quite put my finger on what it is, but this one looks a little better in person than it does in the pics. Partly, it's the vibrancy of the BOX, which isn't quite captured in the pics, partially due to the chatoyancy of the middle mahogany and sipo.
