flaws/issues: The katalox in view 7 has some cracks on the bottom (thank goodness there are none on the top). These probably developed during the original drying of the wood (they were there when i got it and are definitely not stress cracks). There is also a lathe-tool scratch that overlaps one of them and I didn't separate the two visually when I saw the voids so I didn't fix the scratch as I could/should have. Fortunately, it's on the bottom and it's minor. Although these flaws show up slightly more than would appear to be the case from view 1d below, where you can barely see the cracks on the left side of the pic, they are fairly minor and on the bottom.
comments: All of the canary in this bowl is particularly nice and there's lots of other great wood as well.
