view 3: red oak, lamination of ash thins and mahogany thin all over walnut over hard maple veneer over walnut and then this whole thing backed by walnut, BOX

view 5: sycamore that has a very slight separation on the right side, then a lamination of (from the left) unknown reddish-brown wood, unknown yellowish wood, bocote, pine, BOX

view 6: walnut over two thins of curly African mahogany over walnut

view 8: lamination of cocobolo with hard maple veneer all over a lamination of mahogany thins with bocote thin and then machiche

BOX: on the left a lamination of thin mahogany(?) around hard maple veneer sided by some dark veneer. Next is macassar ebony with a slanted piece of fir, padauk, prima vera, and all topped by a lamination of walnut thins around mahogany veneer around a strip of boxwood

flaws/issues: there is a slight flaw (separation) in the glue line around the rear of the sycamore oval in view 5. There is a hairline separation up the middle of the BOX and another at the lamination to the left of the BOX.

There is a small dimple in the very center of the bowl and as you can see in view 7a at the bottom of the page, it is minor.

comments: Very attractive patterns around the rim of this one.
