view 6: canary over zircote over canary, all backed by thick mahogany veneer, yellowheart, Honduras rosewood, BOX

view 8: Honduras rosewood, shedua, zebrawood, BOX

BOX: bottom is curly mahogany under ebony veneer. Left side is Honduras mahogany to the left of ebony veneer. Top is padauk over ebony veneer. Right side is yellowheart to the right of ebony veneer. Center is two piece os redheart separated by ebony veneer.

flaws/issues: At the very center of the bowl, there is a slight dimple due to my not having turned the surface down uniformly the way I should have.

comments: I particularly like the BOX on this one, with some very nice woods beautifully set off by the ebony veneer.

The canary along the lower rim in view 4 is not a colorful piece for the species, but it is highly chatoyant.

Doing the undercut rim on a bowl this small turned out to be a bit of an effort but I think the result was worth that extra effort.
